Let's get started

Let's Collaborate

Tuition is due and payable on or before the first of each month (whether your student is in attendance at the first lesson or not). The monthly tuition does not relate to a certain number of lessons per month -- it is the semester tuition broken up for your convenience. Most months have four lessons, some more or less. A late fee of $25 will be assessed if tuition is not paid within two days of the first lesson of the month.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at recitals. A recital fee of $10 per student will be assessed during the month of September for recitals throughout the year, along with a $10 trophy fee per student for those enrolled in the 25 Excellent Program. There are no refunds. No student will be permitted to continue lessons unless all tuition and fees are current or special financial arrangements have been made with the teacher.

Expect tuition to raise slightly every two years. Additional studio policies found here.

I enjoy working with students! It’s a collaborative effort and I want to make your performance the best it can be. Thank you for choosing to work with me!

District Fees: $60 per hour for rehearsal, plus an additional $60 for the performance.
  • Most people have two 30-minute rehearsals (which would be $60), you may certainly have more if you like.
  • Please schedule all your rehearsals up to the District date immediately -- my calendar is very busy with teaching and other students.
  • Please be prepared to pay the full amount at the last rehearsal.
  • Please let me know your District performance time as soon as you find out.

State Fees: $100, which includes a short rehearsal and the state performance.
  • If you make it to state, let me know immediately.
  • There is no option where you skip the rehearsal and pay less.

“Melody is a very energetic and passionate teacher, and knows how to make students become more interested in music. My three kids are very happy to take piano lessons from her. Thank you for your hard work!”

“Melody...this beautiful pianist, this 'Wonder Woman of Music' whose touch is so wonderful and delicate and musical, got more out of that arrangement than I ever thought was in it! She did a wonderful thing.”

“Melody, thank you for the opportunity to work with your students in a master class setting. You have obviously trained them well and given careful guidance to their talent. They are fortunate to have a competent and caring teacher such as yourself.”

“Melody Stroth inspires us to explore our best efforts while introducing us to a lot of great composers and their music...and to have fun enjoying music-making at the same time!"

- Erica and Lisa, students since 2000

"To know Melody is to love Melody. She is a woman of wit, charm, integrity and an engaging laugh. Each time I’ve worked with her at her church, she has played the piano exquisitely. She is well-organized and thoroughly prepared. She plays artfully and from the heart. It is obvious to me she loves people and I count it a privilege to call her my friend."

- Mark Hayes, Composer, Arranger, Pianist

"Melody Stroth is a first rate professional musician. It is very fortunate for her many students that she has chosen this teaching career in which she has such outstanding success. Because of her own remarkable performing talent and her exceptionally lively musical curiosity, she is able to bring to her teaching the resources of contemporary pedagogical insights as well as the practical aspects of preparing the student for public performance. Consequently, her studio ranks in the very top of the best in this area. Her students are often winners in competition, both regional and national. Their playing is remarkable for solid and artistic preparation with true musical sensitivity."

"We already know how wonderful of a teacher you are, but today we were blown away by the talent displayed by each and every one of your students. We feel so incredibly fortunate to get to learn from you. It is clear that you have the talent, heart and dedication to bring out the best in all of your students while still magically keeping the joy and love in the music you teach.”
